The women of the Oklahoma City joined together on October 1st for their Fall Fest at Trinity Lutheran Church in Norman to celebrate, “Chosen to Love and Serve.â€
Gifts from the Heart were collected for the Eden Clinic in Norman and Trinity’s English as a Second Language Program held on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
Mission Speaker was Reverend Dr. Gary Rohwer, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bethany, who, along with his wife Grace Rohwer, spoke of their work teaching English as Second Language classes, modeled by POBLO International, to bring the Gospel to immigrants.
Elections for new zone officers were held, yielding the following results: Karen Karner, Zone President, Elizabeth Amendt, Zone Vice President, Sasha Stehr, Secretary/Treasurer, and Nelly Castaneda, Oklahoma District Nominating Committee.
The women enjoyed being in fellowship with one another learning about mission work and studying God’s Word.
