Friday morning fun at the LWML Oklahoma District 2026 Convention

April 17-18, 2026 

Servant activities begin on Friday at 9 a.m. We will cut fleece scarves for the homeless, produce Braille pages of the Bible, and color and laminate bookmarks with the Gospel message. Come, join your LWML sisters as we work, laugh, and joyously prepare these mission gifts. For those attendees signed up to sing in the choir, practice will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Assembly Hall.   For those eager to shop, both the Mite Marketplace and the LWML Store will open at 10:00 a.m.  

Friday morning will also offer 3 special Pre-Convention Seminars at 11 a.m. highlighting: 

 (1) Mission Grants: Who, What, Where by Katie Schroeder, VP of Gospel Outreach 

 (2) Writer’s Workshop - Designed for novice writers. Tips for writing devotions, Bible Studies, and articles for LWML by VP of                                             Christian Life, Delia Collard, and  

 (3) Helpful Tips for the Group Treasurer by Tulsa Zone President Suzanne Beauchamp. 

Buffet lunch will be served for all registrants at 12 noon, pre-session singing is at 12:45 p.m. and the Convention begins at 1p.m.

 The District Convention Planning Committee (DCPC), is introducing a new Mite Activity for our OK District Convention, scheduled for April 17-18, 2026.  

The "Mite Marketplace" encourages attendees to bring to the convention and donate home-made items to be sold.  All proceeds will be donated to Mites.

The 2026 LWML Oklahoma District Convention will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Edmond, on April 17-18. Speakers include a National LWML Representative and Keynote Speaker, LCMS OK District President, Rev. David Nehrenz.  Author Michelle Dierks will lead the Bible study.
