The 2018 Kingfisher Zone Fall Fest was hosted by the ladies of Trinity Lutheran in El Reno on Satuday, September 29.  Guest speaker was Donna Dyer from Blessing Baskets.


Kingfisher Zone President's Report February 2018

  • Emmanuel LWML, Kingfisher
    • November:
      • We assembled 300 "Blessing Bags" along with our Wednesday Youth Classes to be handed out to the homeless and needy people on the streets. The youth were very excited about doing this as well as taking bags to hand out.
      • Hosted a birthday party at our local Nursing Home celebrating 6 resident birthdays. Sent a donation to "3 to PHD" in Portland, OR
    • December:
      • Our society adopted two local families in our community. We purchased toys and clothes for each person in the families, so they will have a blessed Christmas.
      • Also, prepared treats for 13 "Special People" in our congregation.
    • January:
      • Sent a donation to Steve Cohen /Apple of His Eye
      • We are planning a Fund Raiser Dinner for our congregation along with a Dessert Auction.
  • LWML Lamplighters, Okarche
    • Following are activities for November and December 2017
      • Invited all Kingfisher Zone societies to a Soup Supper and Bingo Party on November 17th.
      • Served meal to congregation prior to first Advent Service on November 29th.
      • Combined Thanksgiving and Christmas project was collecting diapers, Wal-Mart gift cards, school supplies and personal care items for Women's Battered Shelter in El Reno.
      • Relayed prayer needs by using our Prayer Chain. This includes members of LWML, church and community.
      • Noisy Offering for Mites collected on the fourth Sunday of the month
  • Ladies Aid LWML, Okarche
    • Our Ladies group took care of St John's poinsettias from Advent to Christmas.
    • We sent monetary gifts to our pastors and Michael Ersland in Africa with Bible Translators.
  • Our Savior LWML, Guthrie
    • We continue to serve lunch at the Lunch on Nobel program twice a month (feed 35- 45 people)
    • We continue to collect mite. • We have used Thrivent grants to help fund our community lunch program and our Wednesday food give away. We observed LWML last October and made the banner that was in the program
  • Trinity LWML, El Reno
    • November 16, 2017 donation to TLC
    • November Pastor appreciation
    • November Mobile Meals
    • December Donation to TLC project
    • Tracts in public places, hospital and nursing home

Kingfisher Zone Fall Fest

September 16, 2017

Our Fall Fest was hosted by Lamplighter & Ladies Aid LWML, Okarche on Sept 16, 2017. There were 25 in attendance including 2 pastors. Our guest speaker was Carolyn Husmann, Associate Direct of Intervention and Crises Advocacy Network. Our Fall Fest went very well with all societies were represented. All of our societies have are having meetings again. The ladies are looking forward to our Fall Retreat. Each society is continued to serve their church, fellow members and their individual communities. ~Linda Lee Kremeier, Kingfisher Zone President

Kingfisher Zone President's Report October 2017

  • Ladies Aid LWML, St. John’s Okarche – completed 17 Backpacks with school supplies for Lutheran World Relief.
  • We thank Oklahoma City Zone for allowing us to send our kits with them. We appreciate it very much.
  • Lamplighters’ are planning to have a Zone Soup & Bingo Party
